1. Biological Fatigue Index (0 – 100)

Calculated using total flight airtime, timezone deltas, red-eye departure penalties (+35% strain multiplier), transit hops, and layover hours.

Formula: F = min(100, (Airtime × 1.8) + (SleepDeficit × 4.5) + (TimezoneDelta × 3.8) + (RedEyeMultiplier))

2. Operational Chaos Index (0 – 100)

Measures transit risk from tight connection windows (<90 minutes), non-alliance interline baggage transfers, and overnight airport latency.

3. Cost Creep & Hidden Expense Estimate

Forecasts unbudgeted expenditure resulting from extended airport layovers, ground transport surge pricing, and emergency connection buffer costs.

4. Regret Composite Index (0 – 100)

Weighted synthesis of biological strain (35%), cost creep (35%), and operational chaos (30%).

Formula: Regret = 0.35(Fatigue) + 0.35(CostCreep) + 0.30(Chaos)
