At RIAS Trip, we aim to provide a smooth and transparent travel booking experience. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and changes to your travel bookings are handled across our platform.

1. Overview


All travel bookings made through RIAS Trip (flights, hotels, tour packages, activities, transport, etc.) are subject to the cancellation and refund policies of the respective airline, hotel, supplier, or travel partner.

 

Because travel services are time-sensitive, refund timelines and eligibility vary depending on supplier rules.

RIAS Trip itself does not guarantee refunds where the service provider does not offer one.

2. Cancellation Policy

A. Flight Bookings

 

Cancellation charges depend on the airline’s fare rules.

Some tickets may be non-refundable or partially refundable.

Airline penalties + RIAS Trip service fee will be deducted.

 

B. Hotel Bookings

 

Refundability depends on the hotel’s cancellation window.

“Non-refundable” bookings cannot be cancelled or refunded.

No-show bookings are non-refundable.

 

C. Tour Packages

 

Cancellations before 30 days of travel: Up to 70% refundable

15–30 days before travel: Up to 40% refundable

Less than 15 days before travel: No refund

Visa processing, flights, activities, and government fees are non-refundable.

 

D. Activities, Transfers & Add-Ons

 

Refund rules depend on the activity provider and will be mentioned at booking time.

3. No-Refund Situations

Refunds are not possible in the following cases:

 

Visa rejection

No-show at hotel/airport

Incorrect passenger information provided

Booking with “non-refundable” tag

Missed flights due to personal delays

Weather issues or government restrictions (vendor policies apply)

4. Refund Process

If your booking is eligible for a refund:

  1. We request the refund from the airline/hotel/vendor.

  2. Once approved by the supplier, the refund is initiated.

  3. Refund is sent to your original payment method via:

    • PayU

    • Razorpay

Refund timeline:

  • Airlines: 7–21 working days

  • Hotels/Tours: 7–30 working days

  • Banks/Card issuers: May take additional time to reflect the amount

RIAS Trip does not control bank processing times.

5. Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be given when:

 

  • Only part of the service was used

  • Supplier deducts cancellation fees

  • Package includes non-refundable components

  • Customer requests partial cancellation

 

The final refund amount is determined by the travel supplier, not RIAS Trip.

6. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund:

 

  1. Check your bank or card account

  2. Contact your card issuer — posting times vary

  3. Contact your bank — processing delays may happen

7. Transfer of Bookings

Name changes or date changes depend solely on airline/hotel rules and may involve additional charges.

 

Some bookings cannot be modified after confirmation.

8. Refunds for Offers & Sale Packages

Packages booked under:

 

  • Special deals

  • Discounts

  • Seasonal offers

  • Promotional fares

 

are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.

9. Gifts / Vouchers / Credits

If you purchased a gift voucher:

 

  • Refunds are issued as credit only.

  • Credits cannot be converted to cash.

 

If a booking was gifted to you:

 

  • Refund goes to the original purchaser.

10. Shipping / Document Handling (if applicable)

If hard-copy documents are shipped:

 

  • Courier fees are non-refundable.

  • Lost/missing courier items must be handled with the courier provider.

11. High-Value Bookings

For expensive international packages, we recommend:

 

  • Trackable communication

  • Travel insurance

  • Secure payment options

 

RIAS Trip is not responsible for supplier delays or non-receipt of documents.
